ITxPT ASSOCIATE MEMBER

ITxPT (Information Technology for Public Transport) is a European organization whose aim is to harmonize and standardize on-board public transport systems and services.
It enables the efficient integration of these different components and systems, such as ticketing, CAS, video surveillance, passenger information, metering, VoIP, etc.
ITxPT is based on open communication protocols and common data standards, facilitating the exchange of information between the various players involved in public transport.
By promoting a homogeneous, interoperable architecture, ITxPT enables operators and transit authorities to facilitate the deployment, interconnection and maintenance of all on-board services, while making significant savings.

This on-board architecture is based on :
– functional and mechanical interfaces, standardized and adapted to the transport market,
– a single IP network covering all in-vehicle data exchanges,
– and a WiFi/ 4G 5G/ GPS communication router (Vehicle Communication Gateway or VCG) centralizing all data transmissions between vehicles and the PCC. The in-vehicle network thus becomes a genuine extension of the operator’s IT network.

It is in this context that ACKSYS has developed its AirBox, AirWan and RailBox ranges, designed from the outset to meet the stringent requirements of the public transport market (environment and standards, cybersecurity, equipment reliability).
ACKSYS (VCG) routers can be used on board buses, streetcars, metros and trains (M12 and FAKRA connectors, shock and vibration resistance, compliance with ECE R10/ EN50155/ EN45545 standards, etc.).
Thanks to flow isolation and prioritization, routing functionalities and the integration of the latest cybersecurity features (VPN, radius authentication, WPA3, DoS, etc.), vehicle fleets remain connected at all times, both at the depot and in operation.
