ACKSYS partners with Meshmerize to provide low latency, high reliability and high resilience mesh network.
Our mesh solution supports high scalability and short reconnection times, network requirements that customers in intralogistics, agriculture, mining, construction, UAVs and public safety depend on.
ACKSYS devices enhanced with Meshmerize technology are transforming connectivity in several key sectors:
● Intralogistics : Optimize your logistics operations with devices that adapt instantly to dynamic environments, reducing downtime and improving efficiency in warehouses and distribution centers.
● Agriculture : Empower your agricultural operations with reliable connectivity over extensive rural areas, supporting real-time data exchange and operational control.
● Mining and Construction : Rely on our rugged devices to maintain robust connections in harsh, remote work sites where reliable communication is critical.
● Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) : Ensure seamless control and data transfer for drones with technology designed for consistent and uninterrupted connectivity.
● Public Safety : Equip emergency responders with networks that deliver continuous and reliable communication, enabling them to focus on critical tasks without connectivity concerns.
While traditional WiFi offers 802.11r for basic fast-roaming and 802.11s for mesh features, modern day machine-to-machine communication has exceeded requirements to serve uninterrupted connectivity. Diverse and dynamic radio environments pose unique challenges to eliminate high latencies, coverage holes and long reconnection times.
Stand-out features
Meshmerize enabled ACKSYS devices add industry-grade wireless mesh network capabilities specifically designed to overcome those limitations.
Seamless mesh roaming
Seamless roaming is crucial for autonomous mobile robots in modern factory floors and warehouses. Traditional wifi fast-roaming technologies struggle with the increasingly dynamic and dense environments leading to long roaming related down-times.
Meshmerize employs multi-path routing to combine various unreliable links to form a reliable, outage resistant network. Multiple paths ensure uninterrupted connectivity even in very dynamic environments, as an independent second path is already in use simultaneously to maintain the connection even if one path suddenly breaks. Instead of relying on traditional roaming principles depending on singular links to the next device, Meshmerize proactively monitors available connections to utilize an alternative route well before the connection breaks. This “Make-before-break” approach allows for a truly seamless roaming experience with failover times under 10ms, improving fast roaming’s “switch-fast-after-break” approach.
Demanding radio environments for applications such as autonomous warehouses, shuttles and mobile robots benefit greatly as this enables the mesh technology to dynamically mitigate even dark zones and radio shadows for uninterrupted connectivity.
Scales to 300 nodes
Depending on the use case, Meshmerize-enabled Acksys nodes can support up to 300 nodes within a single mesh network. The routing algorithm is specifically designed for highly dynamic environments, enabling faster route discovery and adaptation, supporting a greater number of available paths.
Yet another challenge for traditional mesh networks like 802.11s, which max out at 10 – 20 nodes.
Cellular Extension
Meshmerize enabled ACKSYS devices such as the AirWan can serve as primary nodes that extend internet connectivity through cellular links to secondary nodes within the mesh network, like AirLink and AirBox. This capability is particularly beneficial in industries such as mining and agriculture, where operations span large, remote areas that lack traditional network infrastructure. By leveraging cellular networks (4G/5G), our solution circumvents typical range limitations of WiFi, ensuring that every corner of your operational area is covered.
Traffic Prioritization
ACKSYS devices enhanced with Meshmerize technology incorporate sophisticated Quality of Service (QoS) features, ensuring that critical communications are always prioritized effectively within the network. This functionality is essential for managing diverse data streams in dynamic operational environments, ensuring that urgent messages are transmitted swiftly and reliably.
In the context of intralogistics, prioritization becomes particularly crucial. For example, emergency stop messages for automated guided vehicles (AGVs) must be delivered immediately to prevent accidents or respond to sudden operational changes. Our systems ensure that these critical signals are given precedence over other network traffic, such as routine data transfers or updates, facilitating instant response and maintaining safety across the warehouse floor.
