Preferences dialog

The Preferences dialog gives access to various configuration options. Scan periods may be changed to lighten the network load.

List Scan period:Refresh period of the main products list, at which newly detected products will be added and unaccessible products will be removed. If you set a period of 0, the list will not be refreshed until the refresh button is used.
Association refresh period:Refresh period of the association data (RSSI for bridges and AP clients count for APs). If you set a period of 0, the association column will not be refreshed.
SNMP retry count:Specifies the number of SNMP retries.
SNMP timeout:Specifies the value of the SNMP timeout.
SNMP community read:Specifies the value of the default SNMP read community.
SNMP community write:Specifies the value of the default SNMP write community.
Number of RSSI traces without scroll bar:Specifies the maximum number of RSSI coordinates systems that can be displayed in one page without scroll bar.
OK button:Adjusts scan periods to match the SNMP timeout, saves the changes made and closes this dalog.
Cancel button:Closes this dialog without saving changes made.

The "Options" tab configures advanced settings.

Language of NDM:Set NDM in French, English or system language (automatic). Automatic by default. Need to restart NDM to apply the new language.
Iconify on close:Clicking system "close" button of the main window shrinks it to the systray rather than exiting NDM.
Ask for quit/iconify:Re-ask that question at next window close.
Warn for SNMP-disabled products:Pop up a message the first time a product does not answer to SNMP requests.
Store detected products in database:ON by default. If unchecked, newly detected products will not be stored in persistant database. Useful for preparation labs where products from the vendor will be only once before being dispatched to other locations, so there is no need to remember them all.
