RSSI Trace dialog

This function can only trace the products configured as infrastructure clients. If you select other products, a message will prompt you to re-choose the right kind.



RSSI Trace Display area:This area is used to display the RSSI trace of all the selected products. Every product has its own coordinates system. The title of each system indicates the product type, the location (or IP address, if the location is not specified), MAC address and client number in case of multifunction device.
Display duration: (ms)Interval indicates the display range.
Interval: (s)Interval indicates the refresh period to query the RSSI data by SNMP. The minimum interval is 0 and the value default is one seconde.
The "0 seconde interval" represents 100 millisecondes, the minimum refresh period.


ApplyApply new display parameters in real time.
Log nameIt represnts the path of the historical data file.
SelectCreate a new text file to record the historical data of all the selected products. The historical data contains time, MAC address, RSSI, BSSID and SSID. If you don't create the historical data file before the trace begins, the RSSI chart is displayed without logging data.
Start Button:Start to display the RSSI chart in real time and log data in the text file as you demande.
Stop Button:Stop displaying the chart and loging data as your demande.
Option check box:Unchecked by default. When checked, the products discovery on main display will be suspended. This means that the data refresh on main display will be suspended except the selected products.


Trace interface

Since the display starts, the title appears in yellow background and indicates the details of each selected product in real time. When the curve is clicked, a cross hair appears. If the mouse stays the curve for a while, a tool tip appears, it indicates the value of this point. Refer to the following picture.



Right-click menu

There is a Right-click menu in each coordinates system. It contains:
At the moment of the BSSID change, the title changes to red background and mark this point in the coordinates system. Then show subtitle that used to record this moment. Refer to the following picture.

Historical data file

By default, it is named by current time. It contains all the historical data of the selected products in the time sequence.
